Scheme of Delegation

The Scheme of Delegation is a key document defining the lines of responsibility and accountability in a multi academy trust.  It sets down the authority delegated by the Board of Directors to its Chief Executive. It lists all the tasks which the Chief Executive  does and how these tasks will be performed.

The Directors delegate responsibility for performance of the Trust, including the performance of the acadamies within the Trust to the Chief Executive. Some responsibility concerning the performance of each academy are delegated in turn to the respective local governing body. The headteachers are directly responsible to the CEO for the day to day running of each academy and are assisted by their senior leadership teams.

The Scheme of Delegation ensures that everyone is clear about their role and responsibilities and allows everyone to get on with the business of improving outcomes for children and young people in its care.
